New Experience in Worship is Offered at First Congregational Church

It was a magnificent array of flowers which graced the altar one Sunday morning at worship, but for those who had attended the previous Wednesday night's AWESTRUCK service, it was a also visual reminder of the beauty of our diversity as children of God. At the opening of the Awestruck service, each kind of flower was in its separate vase; as the ritual action took place in the service, each worshiper chose a flower to represent him or herself and put it in the larger vase. And we were all "awed" by the stunning splendor of the diverse bouquet!

Begining on December 3rd 2008 , Awestruck services will be held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM with the exception of Christmas Eve which will be our annual childrens service at 5:30 PM.

Before each Wednesday night service, a meal will be served at 5:30 PM for anyone who would like to attend. Join us and be STRUCK by AWESTRUCK!

What People Are Saying About Awestruck Worship at FCCBC:

"I felt as if I am finally worshipping God in a fairly open environment. I also felt the Holy Spirit with me and that hasn't happened in quite a while."

"I have been to other contemporary-type services and didn't care for them. I felt this service was rich and deep and not frivolous."

"My 14 year old son and his best friend looked forward to this every week and invited friends. What a tribute!"
