Congregational Life"The mission of Congregational Life is to plan and supervise intergenerational activities that enhance and enrich the Christian life of individuals and the life of the church."Each year, Congregational Life offers the following events: Sundae Sunday: In August, members of the congregation can make their own sundaes following the service. Three varities of ice and toppings are provided. Homecoming Sunday: Scheduled the second Sunday of September following the service, food items are provided by the "men of the church." Golf Outing and Picnic: Scheduled a week following Homecoming Sunday, a coed golf outing is held at Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Galesburg. Those participating in golf are asked to bring a dish to pass. Hotdogs, chips and ice tea are provided. Prizes are awarded. Thanksgiving Social Hour: Held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Congregational Life provides food items for the congregation in a social setting following the service. Sing Around The Christmas Tree: Scheduled for the first Sunday in December, people can sing Christmas Carols around the decorated Christmas Tree and accompanied by an orchestra made up of students and adult church.members. Christmas Eve Wassail and Luminaries: Following the 11 P.M. service on Christmas Eve, the congregation is treated to Wassail and Cookies. Of course, other events are planned throughout the year to meet the needs of the congregation. This years special events include: Pig roast |
