Radio MinistryRadio Ministry - The Sunday 10:00 a.m. worship service is aired live on WBCK News/Talk 95.3 FM. (Note: WBCK's 930 AM station will be off the air at the end of the year.) The broadcast began in September, 1930, and has continued uninterrupted since then. There is a special fund set-up to aid in financing the radio ministry. The broadcast coverage map includes areas as far away as Stanton, MI, to the north; East Lansing, MI, to the east; Sturgis, MI, to the south; and Holland, MI, to the west of Battle Creek. Several members have indicated that their first introduction to the worship experience at FCC was as a radio listener.The acoustic system, organ, choirs, sermons, responses and litany of the worship service is not diminished for many radio listeners, especially the hospitalized, homebound and ill who tune in as the next best thing to being there. Our Pastoral Care Ministry maintains a personal contact with those who cannot attend as well. Announcements, scripture and music keep listeners in touch when attending church in person is not an option. We have a dedicated team of technicians who monitor the equipment in the sound booth, and record the worship services (including the Christmas Eve candlelight service which is also a live broadcast), various concerts and special events at FCC | |||
