 Changes in Church School for Grades 1-7 and 8-12Communion Sundays are special and new this year for ALL children and youth:On the first Sunday of every month, 1st-7th graders will be sent forth from worship to the Chapel for their own worship service - Children's Chapel. In Children's Chapel, the new theme for the next unit of Church School will be launched with interactive stories and songs. New teachers and shepherds will be introduced. AND, we'll sing Happy Birthday to everyone who has a birthday that month. Then, when it's time, we'll rejoin the congregation for Communion. 8th-12th graders will be participating in Youth Serve Sunday on each Communion Sunday. Youth will have the chance to serve our church in a variety of ways - each youth can choose how they'd like to serve: ushers, greeter, liturgist, communion server, coffee server, Children's Chapel leader, flower delivery person. There are so many choices! Thanks to Jane Pickett and Valerie Banaszweski for coordinating this new project. | |||
